Where We Go

We start your journey by asking for your departure area. We make sure that your Light Field Trip is a comfortable day trip for you. Each trip is designed to have four stops with the last stop within 100 miles (two hours driving*) from your departure point.

* We know, we live here too. Traffic is unpredictable, so while we aim for trips nearby you can choose a more ambitious driving range. And you can make each trip as along as you like, or go as many times as you want. These trips are designed to be kept, built upon, explored slowly.

While the gateway to New England runs through Connecticut, we consider anything north of I-84 to be in the New England Region. This includes the metro Hartford, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island for now.

The Hudson River valley winds its way north of New York City providing endless towns, ports and adventures.

The big Apple is the biggest tourist draw, but technically road trips are practically impossible. The outer boroughs and suburbs are ripe for road trips, and while not a great distance, they can take a while to get to.

Heading west away from the HUdson River starts the borscht belt and the Catskills. We wander into the Poconos.

Southern Connecticut offers coastal attractions that range from the gold coast to the salt marshes of the entrance to the Long Island Sound.

We start with three questions. Ready?
