Every itinerary is flexible is designed for you to go at your own pace. Our trips are perfect for solo adventurers or quality bonding time with friends and loved ones. Our carefully curated routes take you through scenic drives with plenty of time for self-reflection. Plus, you get the opportunity to meet people along the way.
What to Expect
A great way to shake up your routine and reignite a sense of wonder and curiosity starts with our Gift Edition package. We send a beautiful box by mail. Inside the package a custom field guide based on your preferences and departure area, and a before you go checklist invite you to start your trip. The field guide covers a day of exploration with a series of stops that are designed to be revealed along the way. Inside the field guide, are photos, maps, and essential details about making your journey easy and memorable. We’ve been to every location multiple times and work with locals to offer a story about the area, what you are exploring and who is involved in guarding that heritage.
Our Road trips are carefully curated with the idea that you can explore less-frequented spots you wouldn’t usually see whenever you want to.
While road trips do have expenses, we look for budget-friendly options and list the costs for each recommendation.
Most of our destinations have multiple historic sites, museums, and other educational attractions.
Visiting small towns and interacting with locals provides a unique cultural experience that is often different from attractions found on top ten lists.
What’s in the package?
Your field trip package includes an essential Before You Go guide, as well as our custom field guide journal. We worked with Karl Heine of Designer Journals to craft a journal that celebrates the region with paper produced by Western Massachusetts mills, leather that has been recycled from the fashion industry, and blank pages for you to write, sketch or gather mementos of your trip. Each leading you to a delightful surprise destination on your road trip.
Now, let’s talk about what makes our field trips truly special. Our itineraries are carefully designed to make exploration easy and exciting. Each guide contains everything you need to know on how to get to the surprise destinations, complete with unique suggestions, handy maps, insider tips, and captivating facts that will make your explorations fun and informative.

On the big day, you set out on your adventure by simply opening the guide and hit the road to your first surprise destination. Along the way, we’ve thrown in some ‘roadside recommendations’ to break up the driving time and make your journey even more enjoyable.
